Mercedes OM444 Technical Data
The Mercedes OM444, OM444A and OM444LA motors offer V12 engine performance and torque for heavy duty operation needs. They were used in may industrial applications including various agricultural machines and combine harvesters, such as Jaguar, Claas etc. Type OM444
These
third generation OM444 engines with their robust cast iron blocks, were
specifically popular in harsh hot desert climates due to their large
displacements and low operating temperatures. These OM444 series motors
were release in the late 1980's and included turbocharged and intercooler
features in the OM444A and OM444LA variants. These OM444 A, and OM444
LA offered superior performance due to the Turbocharged features for
upping the engines ability to handle extensive duty needs for many intensive
industrial applications. The OM444 Turbocharger was widely accepted
as a long lasting fit for these types of mechanical implements.
Mercedes V12 Motor Type OM444 LA offered E2 - Euro II, Euro III compliance and was found in applications such as asphalt pavers, and other heavy equipment. The Mercedes V12 Engine Type OM444 LA offered setups meeting E2 Euro II up to 2005, and E3 Euro III 2006-on standards.
The Mercedes Benz popular OM44X series engines were an evolution from the highly respected OM42X series. Engine series OM 441, OM 442, OM 443 and OM 444 replaced the earlier 421 thru 424 series diesel engines with 6 to 12 cylinders in V-arrangement .
