OM362 Technical Data
The Mercedes-Benz OM 362 four-stroke diesel engine with a volume of 345 cubic inches was released in 1983 replacing its predecessor OM352, and later was superseded itself by the OM 366 A.
The OM362 provided extra power compared to the OM352A by incorporating a modified combustion chamber geometry, and with the intercooler bringing more oxygen and less temperature into the engine it helped to limit heat issues.
