The Musso SUV was a result of collaboration between SsangYong Daewoo automobiles and Daimler-Benz incorporating the Mercedes M161 engine.
Musso vehicles included a SUV produced from 1993 to 2005, and pick-up produced from 2002 to 2005.The SsangYong Musso mid-sized SUV and pickup trucks were manufactured by automaker SsangYong from 1993.

As SsangYong had a technology-sharing deal with Mercedes-Benz at the time, the decision was made to sell the Musso as a badge-engineered Mercedes-Benz model in some markets. This enabled SsangYong to utilize existing Mercedes-Benz networks to get a foothold in the then-booming SUV market.
The SsangYong Korando is a subcompact SUV or compact crossover SUV built by SsangYong from 1983 to 2006 and from 2010 onwards.
The Korando brand is Korea’s longest surviving name plate.
