The Mercedes-Benz OM654 is a inline-four cylinder diesel engine introduced in 2016.

. Cylinder walls are lined with slippery Nanoslide (an iron-carbon coating that cuts friction). In the 220-configuration it produces 143 kW (192 hp) at 3,800 rpm with peak torque of 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) at 1,600-2,400 rpm. The engine weight is 371 lb (a 17% improvement over its predecessor the OM651 at447 lb. The OM654 engine consumes 13% less fuel than its predecessor.
