Mercedes OM423 Technical Data
The OM423 is a four-stroke 10-Cylinder V10 diesel engine manufactured by Mercedes-Benz with a volume of 18273 CCM.
Additionally,
variations of the OM423 A and OM423 LA include Turbochargers and Charge
Air Intercoolers that boost horsepower and torque for various applications
including industrial engines and generators, along with transporter
vehicle powertrains.
The engine series OM 421, OM 422, OM 423 and OM 424 replaced the earlier 401-404 series of diesel engines with 6 to 12 cylinders in V-arrangement.
These second generation motors were release in 1980 and included larger volume and increased horsepower with turbocharged and intercooler features boosting their performance.
