M113 Engine Technical Data
The Mercedes-Benz M113 (and similar M155) engines are gasoline-fueled, spark-ignition internal-combustion V8 motors used in the 2000s. The M113 is based on the similar M112 V6 introduced in 1998, then phased out in 2007 for the M156 and M273 engines.
The standard M113 engines were built in Untertürkheim, Germany, while the AMG versions were assembled at AMG's Affalterbach, Germany plant. They have aluminium engine blocks and SOHC cylinder heads with two spark plugs per cylinder.
Features include sequential fuel injection, fracture-split forged steel connecting rods, a one-piece cast camshaft, and a magnesium intake manifold. Cylinders are lined with silicon/aluminium, and the heads have 3 valves per cylinder (two intake, one exhaust).

The M113 E43 is a 4.3 L (4,266 cc) version. Bore and stroke is 89.9 mm × 84 mm (3.54 in × 3.31 in). Power output is 279 hp at 5,750 rpm with 295 lb.ft of torque at 3,000 rpm. Output in the C43 AMG is uprated to 302 hp at 5,850 rpm and 302 lb.ft at 3,250 rpm.

The M113 5.4 L is a (5,439 cc) version with 97 mm bore x 92 mm stroke developed by Mercedes-AMG offers output of 342 to 362 hp at 5,500 rpm with 376 to 391 lb.ft of torque at 2,800–5,400 rpm. Tuners such as Kleemann USA offer supercharger systems reaching 396 hp and 384 lb.ft of torque at 3,750 rpm in the SLK55 AMG Black Series.
